WE RoCk!: Wellness & Recovery in the Upper Valley

Vermont

The ONCares Upper Valley Cancer Wellness and Recovery Program (WE RoCk!) supports cancer survivors throughout New Hampshire and Vermont in their physical recovery.

The Evidence

Clinical research demonstrates that 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week, maintained for at least three years, significantly reduces cancer recurrence and improves survival rates. However, most existing recovery programs are limited to 12–16 weeks and are rarely covered by insurance, creating a critical gap in long-term care.

Our Impact

WE RoCk! bridges this gap by offering financial assistance to survivors, helping them access and sustain participation in established community wellness programs.

Future Growth

To ensure long-term sustainability, we are mobilizing a network of volunteers and health coaches to expand the availability of free classes and personalized support across our community in the coming years.
